Welcome to World History!
Hi! I'm Mr. Thompson, an 8th Grade Social Studies teacher at a middle school in northern New Jersey
but as the year moves on it will contain resources for both my students (Welcome Gang!) and anyone else who is interested in World History. Welcome to the wonderful, exciting world of history! I am now in my eighth year of teaching and I am dedicated to sharing my love of history with my students and anyone else who wants to listen! History is the most amazing subject in all of academia. There is very little right and wrong, and a lot of maybes and grey areas. Take your time to explore my site and world history from the Old Stone Age through the Enlightenment.
As my class moves through history, this page will be continuously updated with links to pages describing the vast variety of subjects covered in World History: Archaelogy, Religion, Culture, Political History, and more. I will also periodically add our class notes dealing with some of the most interesting periods in world history. Keep your eyes open for these changes each week as our topic of study changes. If there is anything that is not covered here having to do with World History in the time periods mentioned above, please e-mail me and let me know.
